For $22 million, Dwyane Wade sold his Miami Beach home that included a basketball court decorated with the Miami Heat logo.
Wade is involved in real estate, as is his spouse, Gabrielle Union. After spending $17.9 million last year for a 17,000-square-foot showplace in Hidden Hills, they sold their Sherman Oaks property for $5.5 million in May.
The $22 million offer is more than double the $10.645 million he spent in 2010 for the oceanfront mansion, but it is less than the $32.5 million he was requesting.
The land was renovated into a 12,000-square-foot estate featuring a private dock, wine cellar, movie theatre, pool, and cabana by the three-time NBA champion.
The two-story Mediterranean-style mansion has beautiful courtyard space, a large covered entryway, and rustic interiors with hardwood flooring and soaring ceilings. There are bay-facing windows on both levels.
The home features a master suite with a balcony and salon, ten bathrooms, and six bedrooms. A spiral staircase, a playground, and a basketball court decorated in red and black to resemble the Miami Heat—the team Wade played for the most of his NBA career—can be seen in the beachfront garden.
In 16 NBA seasons, Wade, 39, was a member of 13 All-Star teams. Along with the Miami Heat, he won three NBA titles and the scoring title in 2009. 2019 saw him retire, and this year he purchased stock in the Utah Jazz.
Douglas Elliman’s Brett Harris handled all side negotiations.
