The Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy is a bright new piece of hardware that the Golden State Warriors will be bringing home on Friday.
Thursday night, the Warriors won their fourth championship in eight years after defeating the Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals held in Boston.
Just before 7 p.m., the team’s aircraft landed, and NBC Bay Area SkyRanger was over San Francisco International Airport.
The only people present to meet them were the employees of Chase Centre. The Larry O’Brien Trophy was raised by Warriors star Draymond Green as he, Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, and the team returned to the Bay Area on Friday night.

They defeated the Boston Celtics in six games to win the NBA Finals, their fourth title in eight seasons.

Warriors star and NBA Finals MVP Steph Curry spoke about finishing the job after the club won the title Thursday night after arriving back in the Bay Area on Friday.
Curry clung on to the MVP Finals trophy, which he had won for the first time in his career.

With the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy in hand, the Warriors return home.
