Stephen Curry’s journey to becoming an NBA star: A testament full of inspiration to the influential guidance of his mother

NBA player Stephen Curry’s wife Sonja Curry recently talked about why she chose to keep her first abortion and her second child intact.

The title of Sonja’s most recent book is “Fierce Love: A Memoir of Family, Faith.”

She said it was hard for her to talk about the fact that she had an abortion when she was pregnant with her first child.

“I almost couldn’t go in the book,” she admitted to Luke Norsworthy on the Newsworthy with Norsworthy Podcast.

Sonja, however, asserted that she sensed “Spirit was guiding” her with regard to the material for her book. Finally, she talked about how she came to adopt Stephen as her son.

“But when it came to making basic choices like the ones I had to make, there was no Stephan,” Curry said. “Wade Stephen Curry II would not exist if I had gone through it.” Besides, God had intended that child for a reason.

She went on, “And at that very moment, in a way I wasn’t even aware was happening, the Spirit spoke to me again about the cause for faith.” And how best would I describe it? Just a faith that chooses not to make the decision after realising that this would be the second time.

Curry continued, “And I want to not have to make that choice again. All I have to do is trust God to help me become pregnant right now.I’m not sure what will happen between Dell and me after that. In addition, I only have to select one choice. I only need to make this one wise choice.

Sonja acknowledged that despite having chosen Stephen wisely, she still feels bad about her first abortion and thinks about it “all the time.”

Sonja’s two boys, Stephen and Seth, are NBA players as well. Stephen has won three NBA titles and been selected as the league’s most valuable player three times.

Stephen tells the tžuth about his faith as well.

The upcoming Hall of Fame inductee Stephen Curry, an NBA point guard, has recently eclipsed all previous scorers in scoring.

What first pulled me to basketball was my crazy faith, so the idea that I may succeed now, in front of Ray, was surreal. Curry said to TNT after the game, “Having my own is special.”

After the game, Allen and Reggie Miller, the previous record holders, gave Curry a t-shirt with the number “2,974” on it.

And it’s really unique, Curry continued. It’s been a while since I’ve given this number any thought. I also donned my trainers, which were branded with my number. This is pretty uncommon in the history of basketball.

“It was a full-circle moment,” Curry said, recalling how he and his father taught him how to shoot the ball while he was a child. “It is impossible to dispute my blessings.”
