At a Paramore concert this week, NBA player Steph Curry made an unexpected appearance as a special guest. The Golden State Warriors were bouncing around on stage in front of ecstatic fans.
Curry, the point guard, is enjoying a break during the off-season after recently celebrating their 12-year wedding anniversary with a vacation to Greece with his wife Ayesha.
And since he continues to take a break from basketball, after his trip, he chose to spend an evening at a Paramore performance. Lead singer Hayley Williams even extended an invitation for him to join the band on stage.
Declaring that Curry was a close buddy, Williams informed the audience that fans were now watching “The Steph Curry Show” instead of Paramore.
“So you see, you and Steph have a few years of history together,” she remarked. And our reunion is tonight. We’re going to sing a song together tonight. And listen, from the moment Steph takes the mic, this is no longer a Paramore show, this is a Steph Curry show.’

The 35-year-old, wearing all black, a backwards cap and glasses, stood behind Williams at the back of the stage as she performed her hit song Misery Business before she moved aside – allowing him to move to the front and sing the chorus.
The four-time NBA champion appeared to be relishing the occasion as he waved to the audience and then bounced about the platform while the music dropped and confetti was thrown at him and the band.
It has been quite an eventful summer for Curry, who was also involved in the American Century Championship golf tournament in Lake Tahoe last month – winning the competition and earning $125,000 in prize money.
He started the event with an amazing hole-in-one, but his closing eagle on the par-5 18th hole topped it. He threw his hat in the air after the putt fell and rushed into Ayesha’s arms.
“This is something you dream about, because I don’t do it for a living,” Curry remarked. ‘I’ve been playing in this tournament for almost a decade and now I’ve got some hardware to show for it. It’s quite unique.
Curry – who vowed to donate his prize money to charity – finished with 75 points, two ahead of runner-up Mardy Fish, a former pro tennis player who won this event in 2020. Fish was three points ahead of Curry entering the 18th but made par.
