Being second and third in MVP voting, it is not shocking that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic made First Team All-NBA, but now that it is official, this vote will bring them a lot of money.
Super-max contract extensions are now available to both.
Doncic will have the opportunity to sign the biggest contract in NBA history, a five-year max extension worth $346.3 million, in the summer of 2025 (figures courtesy of ESPN’s Bobby Marks).
At the same time, the Oklahoma City Thunder can pay Gilgeous-Alexander $81.5 million in the 2030–31 season and extend his contract for a maximum of four years at $294.3 million.
Absurd. The complete All-NBA teams are listed here:
The only players to be unanimously selected to the First Team were Jokic and Gilgeous-Alexander; Doncic received one second-team vote. Every member of the First Team received at least 65 votes to be included on that squad.
