This is the brand’s inaugural attempt at producing footwear. It is also huge, bold, and utterly mad, all in keeping with the reputation of the American art collective. The creators of the boot have remarked that shoes are not meant to be “shaped like feet.” “Big Red Boots are remarkably boot-shaped, despite not having the shape of feet.” Does that make sense technically? Without a doubt. Do we acquire them? Without a question.
The Nuggets’ center, Jokic, is one of the best passers, rebounders, and scorers in the NBA. He moved from Serbia to Denver in 2015 as a rather obscure second-round draft pick. Over the last eight seasons, he has led the team to four straight postseason appearances and multiple All-Star and All-NBA accolades.
He signed a five-year, $270 million contract in July 2022, keeping him in Denver until 2028, as one of the best players in the league. We could not discover any proof that he went house searching (again) after his big deal, but we believe we have his current location figured out.
In late 2021, a 29-room mansion in the area of Cherry Hills Village was bought for $4.5 million by an LLC that seems to be associated with Jokic. The property, which is gated and private, was listed for $5.3 million in June 2021.
The property was described as a “Old World estate” with “true palatial elegance” in the listing. Maybe the huge man from the Balkans liked that feeling.
Large living areas, marble floors, and chandeliers abound in this 12,271-square-foot mansion. A 12-seat home theater, a fitness center, and guest apartments are among the upscale features. A kitchen-equipped pool house and resort-style pool are located outside.
The upscale area, which is ten miles south of the city center, is brimming with multimillion-dollar homes.
Cherry Hills Village has about thirty properties out for sale right now, including a recently finished $29 million spec house. Maybe Jokic will not have to search far this summer to improve his already opulent living arrangements.
