Nikola Jokic is a very skilled NBA player that the Denver Nuggets selected with the first overall pick. He has been named the Most Valuable Player twice and is considered the best passer of all time for a big guy.
The Denver Nuggets executive office made the right choice by picking Jokic in the second round. He is the greatest player to be selected in the second round in NBA history. Jokic also has the record for winning MVP with the fewest number of points needed. They certainly recognized his genius, but I can not help but wonder if luck also played a role.
Recently, Misko Raznatovic, the agent of Nikola Jokic, shared a tale about the day in 2000 that Jokic was given a Denver Nuggets jumper. The jumper belonged to the Denver Nuggets. He said that owning a Nuggets sweater at the time was “a rarity” and that “a little fate plays a big role in the overall outcome,” referring especially to Nikola Jokic. “A little fate plays a big role in the overall outcome,” he continued.
Next year, with Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray both healthy and back on the roster, Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets will be a serious title contender. The Denver Nuggets’ sixth-place finish this season may be attributed largely to Jokic’s play. The following year, this squad will be even better.
Whether or if Nikola Jokic can guide the Denver Nuggets to a championship in the future is a major question mark for women’s basketball. The majority of Nuggets fans believe he has already accomplished more than any other player in franchise history and that a championship is the only thing remaining for him to accomplish with Denver. If he puts his mind to it, I think he can make it.
