There’s always something really good about May. It’s getting warmer outside, summer vacation is almost here, and your favorite star is guiding his team to victory in the NBA Playoffs. Why not create a line of hoop shoes that will inspire great moments?
The Jordan Brand line of sneakers that Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum wears as a signature is a tribute to his special family memories. Every colorway is a voyage through memories, from zoo visits to beach vacations that will never be forgotten.
Now, just in time for nice summer nights spent with family and friends (and maybe a Celtics championship run), the Jordan Tatum 2 is coming out in the “Sidewalk Chalk” colorway.
An official video and a detailed explanation of the release details are provided below. Tatum and Jordan Brand earlier today debuted the sneakers on social media.
On Thursday, May 9, the Jordan Tatum 2 ‘Sidewalk Chalk’ was made available for purchase. On the Nike website, athletes and fans can buy performance basketball shoes for $125 in adult sizes and $90 in big kid sizes.
The “Sidewalk Chalk” colorway features a lovely combination of Mint Foam, Smoke, Lilac, and Light Soft Pink. Pastel swirls and court-ready technology that will support your energy return through the fourth quarter and beyond are featured in the design.
A full-length Nike Air Strobel unit is housed inside supportive foam that conforms to your foot to provide a confined feel, as part of the aforementioned technology. In the meantime, the external frame supports gameplay that takes place close to the ground by wrapping underneath the sole and onto the upper.
For Tatum and his supporters, it will undoubtedly be another summer to remember whether the Celtics win another NBA Championship or not. Keep an eye on Sports Illustrated’s FanNation Kicks for all the latest news on shoes from the NBA and other sports leagues.
