According to a Yahoo Sports report, the Utah Jazz are considering bringing in Bronny James for a private workout and maybe selecting him with the 32nd pick. This move could change up their squad.
Krysten Peek, an NBA draft analyst, says this decision fits with the Jazz’s gradual rebuilding plan under Danny Ainge’s direction.
A strategic consideration exists as well. It is believed that by bringing in Bronny, the son of basketball great LeBron James, the Jazz will have a better chance of drawing LeBron in the future and bringing some star power to the group.
Despite having only a short career at USC, Bronny James is causing a stir with his relatively low college stats of 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
When he had a heart arrest last July at USC during practice, it was a major blow to his journey. But now that the NBA has given him the all-clear to join the draft, he’s ready to make his move.
Bronny is presently practicing for the NBA Draft Combine. Despite his uneven performance in the scrimmages—he scored 4 and 13 points, respectively—he is definitely gaining interest as a possibility.
