An NBA record was just set when LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers scored 40,000 points in his career. James got praise from players from all time periods in recent history, including Magic Johnson and D’Angelo Russell, who plays with James now. James’s old teammate and close friend Carmelo Anthony joined the party by talking about how important 40,000 points is in basketball history.

During the 7 PM in Brooklyn show, Anthony talked about James rising to that level and whether he thinks it will ever be done again in NBA history:

Lakers News: Carmelo Anthony Believes No One Will Reach 40,000 Points Again After LeBron James

“For starters, $40,000 is crazy,” Anthony said. “40,000 is crazy.” We will never see something like that. That forty thousand is not being touched. Bypassing Kareem was crazy, but 40,000 is not the same. Because of this, I hope it’s not being missed. I really think that we should treasure these times. We move on to the next article, headline, and subject so fast. But we should enjoy these times. 40K is crazy.

For many years, Abdul-Jabbar’s score record was thought to be unbreakable. James, on the other hand, changed the game and made it possible for NBA players to do more. After being number one for 21 years straight, he broke records in every area. He set a new standard for greatness that future generations will try to reach.

Anthony also said that people should appreciate what James is doing with his job, not just the fact that he has an unbeatable record. Because he has dominated the NBA for more than 20 years, James is unique. It’s easy to take his success for granted.

Anthony tells his fans to be proud of what he has done as he nears the end of what may be the best run in NBA history.

LeBron James talks about the chance that other people will score 40,000.

There are so many scoring players in the league right now that it’s hard to say who else will score 40,000 points. This makes me wonder if this goal will ever be reached by another player. When asked, James said he didn’t know, but the way he sees it, anything is possible.

James replied, “I don’t know.” You have to play the game for a long time and hope that you don’t get hurt or something. You need to take care of your body. You need to be on the ground. Besides that, you need to be active. There are a lot of great players in our league who can score goals. If they played for a long time and stayed healthy, they might even beat it.
