NBA player Stephen Curry has revitalized Howard University’s golf program with an incredible act of generosity. The four-time NBA champion made a $6,000,000 charity commitment to the university. Curry’s kind donation not only helps to revive the golf program but also marks a major advancement in increasing access to and participation in the sport. Curry’s dedication has allowed the historically black university in Washington to start Division I golf programs for both men and women.

With this program, Curry is giving everyone who cannot afford it an equal chance. Therefore, by reviving this program that had lain inactive for forty years, Curry has provided a forum for underprivileged youth.
