LeBron James wears a truly special diamond-plated version of one of the era’s iconic watches on his wrist

Playing basketball and collecting timepieces are nearly synonymous in the United States. At the top, there is a select group that provides exceptional, hard-to-find examples. While being at the pinnacle of one’s sport is necessary to compete for the best, both basketball and college basketball demand a strong athletic foundation. Scherzo, of course! LeBron James does not, in fact, have the superpower to win every game.

Outside of the camp, where access to even the rarest and most unique artifacts is attainable, the story is different. For everyone’s benefit, consider this: even after the heartbreaking loss to the Nuggets that evening in Denver, LeBron James continued to feel the victory: he was stomping on the polo in a unique Richard Mille RM 11-03 edition. The Lakers are unquestionably assembling the greatest players in this specific area on their floor.

The RM 11-03 is one of the few models that has defined a specific sort of collector in recent years. Its aggressively designed and hefty case instantly identifies it. The Richard Mille man is such a motor aficionado that he created the dial to resemble a Ferrari dashboard and converted his watch buttons into accelerator pedals. Because the watch radiated IYKYK frequencies to other 0.01% members, it was once referred to as the “secret handshake of billionaires.” These days, it more closely resembles a billionaire’s hunting horn, loudly and lengthy in announcing the wearer’s status.

At his height, Richard Mille was valued as follows: “The Richard Mille watch is the access badge to an ultra-exclusive alternative reality that most people do not will ever have the slightest possibility of access,” Wei Koh, founder of the watch magazine Revolution, wrote in 2018. “Among a group of individuals whose life consists of speeding around in 1,000 horsepower supercars, being transported by helicopter to partying all night on yachts moored on the coasts of the most seductive locations in the world and then recovering horizontally and often in a state of connubial bliss on their private jets,” Koh wrote in 2018. Whoa!

Naturally, James and a host of other well-known individuals are members of this fictitious RM club, and coincidentally, it appears that Tom Brady has acquired one as well. The 11-03 James Blue Quartz Edition is a collectible that is even rarer and more valuable. In honor of Jean Todt’s 50th anniversary as the CEO of Ferrari and Mohammed ben Sulayem’s predecessor as president of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, which is in charge of managing Formula 1 races, the brand designed it. The inspiration was not particularly significant because the watch appears to be a very powerful chronometer.
