Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic became the 66th player in NBA playoff history during the game to achieve 2,000 career postseason points.

The Hall of Famer Bob Cousy (2,018) will be the next person he passes on the all-time playoff points list.

Jokic has proven himself to be among the all-time top 50 players.

With a 3-1 advantage over the Lakers, the Nuggets can win on Monday to wrap off the series.

In 41 minutes of action, Jokic scored 33 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out 14 assists, had one steal, and blocked one shot while shooting 2/5 from three points and 10/20 from the field.

In the second round, the winner of the series will play Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nuggets won all 12 of their previous meetings with the Lakers, including a sweeping victory in the Western Conference Finals last season.

They defeated the Miami Heat after the Lakers to win the 2023 NBA Championship (Jokic was named Finals MVP).
