0 Points – Russell spotted using phone and eating during team huddle in game 3 loss to Denver Nuggets

D’Angelo Russell was not interested in interacting with his teammates during the Game 3 stinker huddle.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ season is almost gone, so fans were quick to criticize veteran guard D’Angelo Russell when he was seen acting strangely during the game. Late in the game, during a team huddle, D’Angelo is seen entirely absorbed in a video that has gone popular among Lakers Nation.

D’Angelo scored 23 points and dished out six assists in 38 minutes of play in the second game, which was a really good showing. He was hoping for huge games when they returned to Los Angeles tonight, but in the end, he shot 0-7 from downtown and finished with zero points.

Russell was not at his best for this one, and he was quite frustrated with his inability to get things going all night. Darvin Ham was forced to bench D’Angelo in the end, which is most likely why he looked so bored and out of it in the closing minutes of the game.

The Lakers tried their hardest, but they were unable to stop the Denver Nuggets in the second half as they overcame the opposition and took a 3-0 series lead. Despite the 46 points that Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic scored together, Denver’s supporting group was outstanding in this game. With the starters out, the bench more than held their own as Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. both scored over 20 points.

D'Angelo Russell Likes Where Lakers Are At Despite 0-2 Deficit Vs. Nuggets

Even if Los Angeles’ season isn’t officially finished, the Lakers’ final opportunity to win this series before losing sends them packing. However, the Lakers have given up on a comeback and the future of the entire squad is in doubt after suffering their 11th straight loss to this team. It appears more and more likely that D’Angelo Russell in particular won’t be wearing the Purple and Gold again the following season.
