Kia wo-time Stephen Curry, the NBA’s most valuable player and three-time champion, was in Tokyo last weekend for the last stop on his first Underrated Tour. The Underrated Tour is a youth basketball camp for underrated high school basketball players that gives them a chance to improve their skills, get more attention, and learn more about the game.

In January of this year, Curry was named a Global Brand Ambassador for Rakuten. This was the start of his tour, which was made possible by the company.

People all over the world who are underdog athletes find strength in Stephen Curry’s story. As a high school athlete, Curry wasn’t considered by many top U.S. colleges because he was thought to be “undersized” and not very athletic. At the time, not many people thought Curry would become one of the best players of his time.
Curry came up with the Underrated Tour ten years into his great professional career to give the next generation of high school stars who don’t get enough attention a chance to shine.
