Jayson Tatum, a forward for the Boston Celtics, has a modest collection of cars for one of the most famous players in the NBA.
Tatum is in the middle of a crazy $163 million deal with the Celtics that lasts for five years.
But he has turned his back on a lot of the things that come with being a huge NBA star.
Tatum told The Athletic, “It was never about the money, the cars, the fame, or that way of life.”
“I love the game because I love basketball, not because of everything else that comes with it.”
A lot of people who play the game get caught up in the way of life and choose that over the game.
Tatum recently said that he only spends the money he gets from endorsements and not his NBA pay.
“[My mom and I] had a deal before I got drafted that I couldn’t spend the money I make from the Celtics, that I have to live off my endorsements,” Tatum told Bessinger.
“Her and my accountant agreed.”
Tatum’s $700,000 garage is home to three rare cars: a Rolls-Royce, a Mercedes, and an old Ford Mustang.
And he still loves getting snacks when he fills up his cars with gas.
Tatum said, “Whenever we stop at a gas station, I still buy my bag of chips because I used to dream about times like these.”
ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH
Tatum has often used social media to show off his white Rolls-Royce Wraith.
He loved how the Spirit of Ecstasy on the front of the car went back into the hood.
The Wraith is the fastest Rolls-Royce on the market right now, and it costs about $350,000.
It only takes 4.2 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph, and it can go as fast as 155 mph.
Tony Davis, a star for the Los Angeles Lakers, also has a Wraith.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63
Rich and famous people love the G Wagon because it shows how important they are.
This SUV is one of the best and most expensive ones on the market.
The base G63 has a 4.0-liter V-8 engine with twin turbochargers that makes 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.
It takes between 4.5 and 6.4 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph.
The price of the car is about $150,000.
AN OLD FORD MUSTANG
To enjoy his 23rd birthday in 2022, the NBA star bought an old Ford Mustang.
In the customized car, the letters JT are pressed into the back of the cabin.
