Jordan Brand is proud to introduce Jayson Tatum’s first signature line, the Jordan Tatum 1—and it’s its lightest basketball shoe ever

The Jordan Tatum 1, the young star’s first signature sneaker, has been formally presented by Jayson Tatum and the Jordan Brand only hours before he is scheduled to play in this year’s NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City.

The “Archer Ave/St. Louis” and “Zoo” silhouettes have leaked before, but there will be two more hues available soon. Together with the previously mentioned pairs, the “Barber” and “Pink Lemonade” will be available starting on April 7.

The Jordan Tatum 1 is the lightest performance shoe in the whole brand’s performance range for this season, and it was created with the next generation of basketball players in mind, the Jordan Brand proudly revealed. The Jordan Tatum 1 is designed with a lightweight TPU frame that allows extra material to be removed, inspired by the top player for the Boston Celtics’ wish to wear a shoe that felt more attached to his foot.

An uncaged Zoom Air bag at the front of the basketball shoe provides the athlete with rapid energy return when they soar over the court. With a full mesh upper, the shoe supports the wearer’s ankle with padded collars and offers a sturdy yet lightweight webbing around their feet.

Anyone who knows Jayson Tatum well would understand how devoted he is to his kid, Jayson Christopher Tatum Jr., often known as “Deuce.” Deuce has established himself as a bit of a TD Garden staple, frequently appearing with his father in interviews following games and in conversations with other NBA players.

Jayson Tatum’s signature sneakers, of which three of the four launch colorways feature Deuce’s name, are a strong reflection of this love for the player. In actuality, Deuce’s passion of the Zoo and wild animals is directly alluded to in the first single “Zoo.” The “St. Louis” version pays homage to his birthplace, namely Archer Ave., where he spent his formative years.

The two never-before-seen hues better suit Tatum’s interests and character. The popular warm-up video of the “Barbershop” expressing his confidence after getting a haircut—”when I get a cut, I think I’m top 5″—supports this idea.

The last hue goes well with Tatum’s favorite beverage, “Pink Lemonade.” The “Pink Lemonade” concept may be straightforward, but it looks amazing on the hard court. As of this writing, the 2023 All-Star Game is still in progress, but Tatum has officially unveiled the Jordan Tatum 1 “Pink Lemonade” on the floor, and it’s gorgeous.

The next Jordan Tatum 1 will debut in phases over the next few months, with all four colorways fully unveiled and ready to go. The trademark series will premiere with the Jordan Tatum 1 “Zoo” on April 7 and the “St. Louis” shortly after on April 18. The “Barbershop” is scheduled to release at some point in May, while the “Pink Lemonade” will have its premiere on June 20.
