As soon as he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, Austin Reaves became a fan favorite. In his second season, he proved his worth. After that, Reaves got a new max deal, played for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, and now has his shoes made by the Chinese brand Rigorer.
Now, Reaves has signed a new deal with Rigorer and has become a partner in the business. On December 8, a new shade of the AR1 shoes called “Milky Way” will come out to celebrate.
This Friday, only KICKS CREW will have the new “Milky Way” version, which will cost $100. Reaves wore this new shade for the first time on Saturday when the Lakers played the Houston Rockets. He scored 18 points in 22 minutes.
Reaves signed with Rigorer in June, and since then he has put out four versions that sold out right away. The main color of this new “Milky Way” colorway is purple, but there are also pink and turquoise highlights. This hue is meant to represent both Reaves’s professional successes and the joyous holiday season.
“I feel like this summer has been completely out of this world. Everything has been great, from committing to play for the Lakers for a long time to playing in the FIBA World Cup and having my shoes sell out in minutes, Reaves said. “But now my only focus is on the Lakers and doing everything I can to bring the championship back to Los Angeles. This shoe represents that goal and my journey with the basketball team.”
To celebrate the release of the AR1’s fifth colorway, Rigorer, and Reaves have teamed up with KICKS CREW to be the official launch partner. This will let the company give customers from all over the world a seamless shopping experience.
KICKS CREW cofounder Ross Adrian Yip talked about his partnership with Austin Reaves and Rigorer. “The KICKS CREW team has been thrilled with the success we have seen with our partnership with Austin Reaves and Rigorer and are looking forward to continuing to build on this relationship,” he said.
Only KICKSCREW.COM and RIGORER.COM will have the Rigorer AR1 “Milky Way” for sale on Friday at 8 a.m. PT. On the KICKS CREW AR1 event page, fans can sign up for a chance to win one of five free pieces.
