Austin Reaves, a guard for the Los Angeles Lakers, has become one of the team’s most important players and is helping them have a good finish to the 2023–24 season.
As Reaves’ fame grew, he was able to sign with the Chinese sporting company Rigorer, who made the AR1 as his signature shoe. As a Valentine’s Day gift, Reaves and Rigorer put out a custom colorway of the AR1s that sold well.
Right after the release, Rigorer and Reaves are going to put out their first AR1 collaboration with KICKS CREW. Since the AR1 came out in August 2023, KICKS CREW has been Rigorer and Reaves’ official launch partner. They will now be the first brand to work with the team on a cobranded project.
Reaves made a statement about what it means to work with KICKS CREW and why he and Rigorer chose to work with them.
The KICKS CREW team made Rigorer and me feel like we were part of the family when we joined. We’re so grateful to have a partner like them who helped us get the AR1 to fans all over the world. This is why we picked them to work with us on such a big release as our first project together. “The ’17 Rings’ colorway honors the championships and legends that inspire me every day,” Reaves said.
The “17 Rings” version will only be available on April 6 at 8 a.m. PT on KICKSCREW.com. People who want to enter to win one of five sets of shoes can do so on the AR1 event page. The shoes will cost $110.
The launch will be the seventh shoe in Reaves’ signature line. The newest pair has a white base and purple and gold colors that are inspired by the Lakers. On the top of the shoe, the team’s championship years are written, and on the medial side, the retired jerseys are honored.
On the other hand, the KICKS CREW logo is on the shoe’s tongue and heel, as well as on the special package.
