Spencer Dinwiddie is still winning off the court, even though his Dallas Mavericks were crushed by the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals and were knocked out of the NBA playoffs for the season. The 6’5″ guard just signed a three-year, $54 million deal for his Los Angeles-based cryptocurrency company Calaxy. He just finished raising $26 million for it.
Dirt also says that he has bought a brand-new, modern Craftsman-style house in a gated community of only 26 homes in an area that combines Malibu and Calabasas.
In December, the house was listed for about $7.7 million. Eventually, the price was lowered to $7.2 million, and the 29-year-old Los Angeles resident bought it for $6.9 million.
Dinwiddie just bought an estate that is tucked away at the end of a long gated road on a 1.4-acre peninsula. The building is described as being dark brown with white trim. It was built in 2021 by “one of the most experienced and meticulous builders in Southern California.” On either side of the garage, which is linked, there is space for four cars.
The house has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a living area of 6,400 square feet. It has high ceilings, red oak hardwood floors, and Italian light fixtures. There are many decks and patios with views of the Santa Monica Mountains that can be enjoyed from inside or outside.
A wooden front door with a stone-columned portico above it is lit by gas lights and leads into a room with a wrought-iron staircase that goes all the way around. The living room has a wet bar with wine storage and a stone fireplace that goes all the way to the roof. It is topped with a wood-beam ceiling.
There is also a formal dining room and a cozy family room with a fireplace. The elegant gourmet kitchen has a large eat-in island, a butcher-block island, and high-end Gaggenau appliances. You can get to it through a casual dining room. Through pocketing glass doors, you can get to a charming patio with a fireplace and room to eat outside.
On a different part of the main floor, there is an office/media room. The master bedroom on the second floor is luxurious and covers more than 1,000 square feet. It has a walk-in closet, a sitting area, a balcony, a fireplace, and a bathroom with two vanities, a shower for two people, a soaking tub, and a separate area for makeup. The fourth floor has four more bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
You can expect to find a spa and infinity-edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a fire pit with steps leading to a gazebo on the private grounds that feel like a lodge. A Crestron smart-home system is added just for fun.
