The NBA’s new all-time 3-point leader, guard Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors, was treated to a special dinner at a North End restaurant when he arrived in Boston the day before his team’s game against the Celtics.In the opening quarter of Tuesday’s game at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks, Curry made his 2,974th 3-pointer.

Ray Allen had owned the previous 3-point record since 2011, when he eclipsed Reggie Miller’s score.Curry is widely regarded as the best shooter in the NBA, and the statistics currently support that claim.
