There was never any real doubt about the result of the Boston Celtics vs. Portland Trail Blazers NBA game on Monday night. Boston easily defeated Portland 121-99 to record their 50th victory of the regular season. Thanks to Jayson Tatum’s MVP-caliber performance, Boston is starting to seem inevitable. In addition to putting up 26 points and dishing out eight assists, the Celtics forward unveiled a highly anticipated colorway of his most recent signature Jordan Brand sneaker.
Tatum donned the Jordan Tatum 2 “Taco Jay” colorway throughout the game last night. Jordan Brand has produced multiple player-exclusive hues for Tatum, going all the way back to the Air Jordan 34, inspired by his moniker and love of tacos. A close-up of Tatum’s kicks from yesterday night may be found here.
The vivid green Phylon frame of the Jordan Tatum 2 “Taco Jay” colorway contrasts with the white mesh upper, which is made of gold foam and textile pods. Finally, the hoop shoes have a delightful finishing touch thanks to the gold laces and green tongue.
When will the public be able to purchase the Jordan Tatum 2 “Taco Jay”? Since the Air Jordan 35 is the only model to have a general release in the “Taco Jay” hue, it is difficult to say. But a very similar colorway of Tatum’s first signature sneaker was released. It was called “Home Team.”
The Jordan Tatum 2 in the “Momma’s Boy” colorway is available for $125 on the Nike website while we wait to hear more about the possible release date.
On the court, Tatum’s second signature sneaker not only looks great but also performs exceptionally well. The shoe is the lightest in the Jordan Brand collection thanks to its single-layer mesh upper. In the meantime, the striking design with its lateral pods and phylon frame offers just the appropriate amount of support to operate alongside you on hardwood floors.
