D’Angelo Russell spoke on how blessed he feels to break the Lakers’ 3-point record and his desire to continue stretching it to make it hard for someone else to break

Russell and Van Exel were tied for the club record for most 3-pointers made in a season going into Friday night’s game for the Los Angeles Lakers. The record was set in 1994-95. But he quickly became the only person at the top of the list.

Around the middle of the first quarter, Russell made his first of four 3-pointers that night, which set a new club record. Russell has done very well since coming back to the team that chose him in 2015. It’s kind of like a comeback story for him.

Setting a team record is a big deal for any player, but Russell doing it with the Lakers makes it even bigger.

Russ said after the Lakers beat the Philadelphia 76ers, “It just feels good to be a part of this franchise. Like I’ve said in one of these deals, this is the most prestigious.” “So having my name on it and being a part of it makes me feel more than thankful and blessed…” I just want to break it apart as much as possible. “Make it very hard for the next person.”

D'Angelo Russell hace historia con Los Ángeles Lakers

There’s no doubt that Russell can get exactly what he wants by making this record longer. After 12 games, the Lakers’ season is over. If Russell keeps shooting like he is, he could make 30 or 40 more three-pointers before the season ends.

Being in the history books of a team means you’re doing something right. But the Lakers are at a different level, and there are only a few players who can say they are at the top of any list in the history of this franchise. Russell knows how important that is, which is why he is so proud of this success.
