Memphis Grizzlies Star Ja Morant First Unveils His Rolls-Royce Dawn, Prompting Envy Among Many

Without Ja Morant on the court, the Memphis Grizzlies utterly demolished the Golden State Warriors in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals last night. Sadly, Morant was hurt during Game 3’s fourth quarter; a bone bruise has been found on his right knee.

Even with Kevin Durant sitting on the bench and dressed in street clothes—the exact same clothes he had on when he had pulled his Rolls-Royce Dawn into what seemed to be his driveway earlier that evening—the Grizzlies managed to win Game 4 in San Francisco and went on to defeat the Warriors in Game 5.

Morant also drives a Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, which is naturally significantly less expensive than a Rolls-Royce. We’ve already shown you this vehicle.

I compared the Chargers’ mentality to that of Ja’s Memphis Grizzlies club in 2021–2022, as you may remember from that post. Even while those comparisons make sense, the fact that he drives a vehicle as opulent as a Rolls-Royce Dawn doesn’t surprise me. In the end, a Dawn costs around $356,500, and in 2019, Morant agreed to a four-year, $39.6 million contract with the Grizzlies.

The Dawn, which replaced the Phantom Drophead Coupe in 2015, is built on the same platform as the Ghost. Furthermore, it is one of just two Rolls-Royce vehicles that retain BMW architecture.

The “regular” model’s 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine produces 563 horsepower (571 ps) and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque, while the Black Badge edition’s engine produces 593 horsepower (601 ps) and 620 lb-ft (841 Nm). You can achieve 60 mph in less than 5 seconds while still enjoying the smoothest ride imaginable in this luxurious convertible. This is the perfect car for someone who always gives it their all on the basketball court.
