With five 3-pointers from Jayson Tatum and 32 points, the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 138-110 on Friday night, extending their record-breaking winning run to ten games. Luka Doncic had his second straight triple-double.

In their second win of the season over the Mavericks, the Celtics made 21 3-pointers and improved to an NBA-best 47-12. Jaylen Brown added 25 points and seven rebounds. With 24 points in the end, Kristaps Porzingis led seven Celtics players in double digits.

Tatum had scored at least thirty points in 22 games so far this season.

Doncic finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists for his 12th triple-double of the year. Kyrie Irving scored 19 more points despite making only 9 of his 23 field goals. The Mavericks shot only 9 of 34 from 3-point range, unable to match Boston’s efficiency.

Dante Exum of the Mavericks, who has been out with a knee injury, saw action for the first time since January 26. In fifteen minutes, he scored four points.

The Celtics built a 12-point advantage in the first 24 minutes thanks to the scoring of 10 of the team’s first 15 points and 4 of their 10 three-pointers made by Porzingis.

But with Doncic’s 23 points, Dallas was only behind by seven at the break.

It wasn’t until Tatum made two free throws with eighteen seconds left in the first quarter that he scored. However, Boston made seven 3-pointers in the first quarter and ended up leading 38-32.
