Allen and Royce O’Neale made important 3-pointers back-to-back to give the Suns a 116-104 lead with three minutes left. Plus, Jusuf Nurkic scored 18 points, grabbed 22 rebounds, and gave out 7 assists.

At the end of the first quarter, the Lakers were 20 points behind. But by the end of the third, they had slowly closed the gap to 92–90. Phoenix scored the next six points and never fell behind in the fourth.

LeBron James scored 28 points for the Lakers, making 12 of 19 shots. He also had 12 assists. Anthony Davis scored 22 points and grabbed 14 boards.

Four players for Phoenix scored at least 20 points, and the Suns had 51 rebounds to 34 for the other team. They got 21 points each, with O’Neale adding 20. Bol Bol scored 11 points in 24 minutes when he came off the bench.

At the end of the first quarter, the Suns were ahead 38–18. Going into the second, they were ahead 45–28. Phoenix scored 45 points, which was the most in a quarter this season. Even though the Lakers cut into that lead in the second, they were still behind 72–63 at the break.

He led Los Angeles with 18 points in the first half, while Booker led the Suns with 13.
