Because the Los Angeles Lakers didn’t make a deal at the trade deadline, LeBron James may have been upset about it.

When James shared an hourglass emoji on social media, it got a lot of attention. Some people thought it meant the Lakers were running out of time. Reports say James is focused on returning to Los Angeles for next season, even though he hasn’t said in public that he wants to leave.

The front office did add to the team’s roster, though, when they bought out Spencer Dinwiddie and signed him. It was a surprise when the Toronto Raptors let Dinwiddie go after trading for him, and he went back to his home in Southern California.

Rajon Rondo, a former Lakers guard, said on Bully Ball with Rachel Nichols that he thinks Dinwiddie will be able to help James:

The RB said, “I think he’s fine with what he has.” “He could have said what he was feeling or frustrated about at the time, but that’s Bron.” He makes his teammates work hard, and if they can’t handle it, he burns them out. Everything he does is very planned out, and he knows a lot about what’s going on in the company. Bron is not trying to do everything by playing more than 35 minutes a game. Spencer seems like the kind of person who could give Bron a little more time to calm down on the bench and get his strength and energy back.

“I think Spencer, Bron, AD, DLo, and Austin Reaves will finish the lineup.” It can be hard to switch or try to double-team that team because AD’s throwing out of the double this year is so much better than when I played with him. When the day is over, I think Bron will be okay with what took place. “He’s going to play his cards to the best of his ability, no matter what cards he has.”

James and Dinwiddie have only played one game together so far, but Dinwiddie fits right in with the team because he can set up shots for himself and his teammates. Although James is usually in charge of the offense, having Dinwiddie handle the ball and make plays can help him stay fresh during games.
