The 2024 NBA All-Star Game is taking place in Indianapolis, Indiana this Sunday night. 

Against Nikola Jokic, the two-time MVP, Miami Heat standout Bam Adebayo produced a spectacular first-half highlight. 

Adebayo tossed the ball away from Jokic, who was distracted, rather than inbounding it to Damian Lillard. 

Despite Jokic’s best efforts to block his shot, Adebayo advanced the ball up the floor and made a three-pointer. 

In 45 games this season, Adebayo has shot 51.0% from the field and averaged 20.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. 

With his stellar defence, the Heat started the season well, going 30–25 in 55 games to secure the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, three games behind the fourth-seeded New York Knicks. 

This is the third NBA All-Star Game for the former Wildcat, who is now in his sixth season with the league. 

The Heat have had great success over the past four years, making it to the NBA Finals twice and the Conference Finals three times.  

In the meanwhile, Jokic is having yet another spectacular season, shooting 57.7 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from outside the arc in 53 games played. He averages 26.1 points, 12.0 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. 

With a record of 35-19 in 54 games, the Nuggets have earned the fourth seed in the Western Conference. 

They won the 2023 NBA Finals by defeating the Heat last season.
