As a starter in the All-Star Game, Jayson Tatum is going to his fifth straight All-Star weekend. Tatum will break the ice as an on-air judge during Saturday’s 3-point game, though, in a job where there aren’t many “firsts” left to do.
As reported by Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Tatum will be on-air with Vince Carter, Carmelo Anthony, and Adam Lefkoe. He will also be giving his thoughts on the Steph Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu 3-point head-to-head, which could be the best game of the whole weekend.
Deitsch said that Tatum would be a commentator for the 3-Point Contest on truTV and Max on Saturday night (#Access23JordanBrandALTCAST). “Vince Carter, Carmelo Anthony, and host Adam Lefkoe will also be on that alternative show.” Tatum will also likely be there to help with the review of the Stephen Curry vs. Sabrina Ionescu 3-Point Challenge. The usual NBA All-Star game on Saturday night will start at 8 p.m. ET on TNT, TBS, and Max.
Fans of the Celtics want Tatum to join Jaylen Brown in his dunk contest appearance. It looks like the man from St. Louis will play a big part over the weekend. It will also be fun to hear from Tatum during the shooting competition. That way, we can get a sneak peek at what he’s looking for and see how he responds to the amazing shooting skills that we’re sure to see.Tatum has become one of the most well-known NBA players in recent years. Without a doubt, he’s one of the best players in the league and one of the nicest celebrities in all of sports. He’s doing well because of his good image and the way he acts professionally.
Still, it would be cool if Tatum stepped up for Sam Hauser and showed everyone how good the Celtics forward really is. In the next few years, Hauser should be in a 3-point battle. Tatum might be the one who can make it happen. Tatum will be doing something new for the first time in either case. Celtics fans who have seen him grow throughout his career will be interested to see how he handles this new role.
