In 2022–23, the LA Lakers’ season was all over the place. They had a rough start but then surprised everyone by making it to the Western Conference finals. A big part of their comeback was getting D’Angelo Russell, who came back to the team that chose him in 2015 and gave them much-needed energy.

Russell and LeBron James make a strong backcourt duo, as Russell averages 15.8 points and 6.3 assists per game and shoots 41.4% from 3-point range. And it’s no wonder that Russell is teaching his son Riley how to dunk early on. He’s about to reach new heights in the game.
