The Los Angeles Lakers scored 51 points in the second half en route to victory over the New Orleans Pelicans

The visiting New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Los Angeles Lakers 139–122 on Friday night. D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves led the way for the Lakers. Russell scored 30 points and Reaves scored 27. Together, they made nine 3-pointers to help the Lakers’ offensive attack. Anthony Davis scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds, and handed out six assists. LeBron James had a double-double with 21 points and 14 assists.

With 21 points, Rui Hachimura also made a big difference for Los Angeles.
As expected, the Lakers kept up their good play. They won their fourth game in a row and have now gone 6-3 since January 25th. In the third quarter, the Pelicans cut the lead to three points, but the Lakers answered by increasing their lead to 115-102 going into the fourth. The Lakers won the game with a good effort in the fourth quarter. They only turned the ball over eight times during the game. Los Angeles won even though Cam Reddish, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Max Christie were hurt and couldn’t play. They showed strength and toughness to get the win.
With the win, the Lakers now have a 2-1 record against the Pelicans this season. Their last game against each other is set for the last day of the regular season.
