The Nets had the upper hand for the majority of the game, but they were never able to take a double-digit lead thanks in large part to the ineffectiveness of their regular key scorers. Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges, and Cam Thomas all had a great deal of difficulty getting off the pitch against the Dubs’ defence. After the game, the three were only 3-for-19 from three-point range and 11-for-46 from the field. But they simply lacked the firepower to pull away until another big-time Nets player stepped up.

About halfway through the third quarter, Golden State launched their counterattack, and they never looked back. The Nets failed to get within one possession in the last quarter, despite the fact that the Dubs never had a lead of more than a dozen points.
