The Lakers beat the Knicks 113–105 on Saturday night, after they had won nine games in a row. James scored 24 points, and in the last few minutes, the Lakers pulled away.

They won their second game in a row to go over 500 (26-25). D’Angelo Russell scored 16, Austin Reaves scored 22, and Taurean Prince scored 16. Davis scored 12 points and grabbed 18 boards.

Coach Darvin Ham of the Lakers said, “We’re just trying to get to a point where we play the kind of basketball we wanted to play.” “We know how to play and defend at a very high level of basketball.” You’ll have a chance every night. Both the players who start and the ones who come off the bench can help us score points.

The game was won by New York’s Jalen Brunson, who scored 36 points (32-18). Donte DiVincenzo had 26 points before getting fouled out. Hart had 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Achiuwa scored 10 points.

DiVincenzo made a pull-up shot with 39.1 seconds left to cut the lead to 105-98. New York also scored for the first time in almost seven minutes.

After Reaves made four free throws and Brunson made a layup, the Lakers were ahead 109–100. Bruno made a three-point play with 11.2 seconds left to cut the lead to six points. Before Brunson’s last-second score, Davis made four free throws to seal the deal.

When James came out for morning warmups at Madison Square Garden, he was cheered on. It got a lot of attention when he dunk with both hands after Russell fed him 3:12 into the game.

“It’s the centre of basketball,” James said. “Many great players, teams, and events have been in this building.” I’m just happy to be a part of it.
