Jokic is one assist shy of a triple-double and is on pace to average one assist per game this season. Jokic is once again toward the top of the MVP race, and he has been just as good this season as he has been in previous years. Following his historic championship run, Jokic and his Nuggets colleagues have not had any title hangovers.

Denver entered this game in chase of the Western Conference lead, behind the Minnesota Timberwolves by 2.5 games and the Oklahoma City Thunder by a half game. This victory brought Denver within two games of Minnesota and within percentage points of Oklahoma City, as the defending champions continue to put pressure on the two young Western Conference contenders.

Boston had the best record in the NBA going into this game, and they still had it afterward, but some of their terrible clutch tendencies were on display once more.
