The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 130-112, ending their losing streak

The Brooklyn Nets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 130–112. This was the end of the Lakers’ losing run. Nic Claxton scored 22 points and grabbed 14 boards, Lonnie Walker IV scored 15 points, and Cam Thomas scored 33 points. The Nets played better in the second half. In the third quarter, they beat the Lakers 38–22.

For the first time in four games, the Brooklyn Nets won, 130–112. It was a strong showing that ended their losing run. Nic Claxton scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Cam Thomas scored an impressive 33 points to lead the way.

They had been inconsistent, especially when they were on the road, but the Nets found their flow in this game.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 19 points, and Mikal Bridges, who was nursing a sprained leg at the time, added 17. With 15 points, former Laker Lonnie Walker IV made a big difference.

Their success was helped by the fact that they were good from beyond the hoop, making 40.4% of their 3-point tries (19 of 47). The Nets had lost five straight games on the road before this win.

Antony Davis led the Lakers with 26 points and 12 rebounds, and LeBron James came in second with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Although the Lakers shot 65.2% in the first quarter, they were unable to keep up their early pace and finally lost to the Nets’ comeback.

The Lakers had won their last two games in a row, but they couldn’t get a third straight win, which shows how inconsistent they are. Although D’Angelo Russell scored 20 points, it wasn’t enough to beat the Nets’ strong second-half play.

The Nets took over in the third quarter, scoring 38 points to 22 for the Lakers. They led 100–90 going into the fourth quarter. Brooklyn’s lead grew in the fourth quarter, securing an easy win and stopping their recent problems.

The Nets had a rough stretch with a 4-14 record since December 14. Their win comes during that time. But the Lakers have also had a rough time. They have a 7-13 record since winning the NBA’s in-season tournament in early December.
