Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic had an incredible performance against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday afternoon, finishing with 25 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals and 1 block with a 92.3% on-field rating. According to Basketball Reference’s StatHead, Jokic became the first player in NBA history to record this stat line or better at least 90% of the time on the court.
It’s important to note that Wilt Chamberlain had three different games in his career with at least 25 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists on 90% shooting or better, but the blocks and steals were not recorded at the time, so he does not appear on this list. It’s probably safe to say that Chamberlain could have had at least one game with two steals and one block to go along with the points, rebounds, assists and field goal percentage, which would leaving only him and Jokic as the ones posting such lines.
This isn’t the first time Jokic has posted a stat line that only he and Chamberlain can achieve. In fact, Jokic also has some records that even Wilt doesn’t have, which shows how dominant the Nuggets star has been since he became a superstar.
Denver is lucky to have Jokic by their side, as the reigning Finals MVP continues to reach new heights seemingly every night.
