On the flight heading to the tour, Thompson thanked the Chinese Warriors supporters. In spite of the complex schedule and numerous time zones, he also thanked the fans that attend the games every day.
As soon as the pair arrived, the Warriors’ devoted Chinese fan base congratulated them. Thompson and Looney signed posters, shoes, and jerseys as tokens of appreciation.
Along with Looney, Thompson hosted the “Shooter-11” basketball camp at the company’s shoe headquarters. He hit a slam dunk alley-oop for the campers here, going all out.
After seeing Xiamen City, Thompson and Looney made a one-on-one interview stop on route to their next destination, Chengdu. The Splash Brother asked the big man of the Warriors about his past experiences, as this was Looney’s first time on the tour. Looney mentioned that he had been learning Chinese while on tour and that he was having fun getting to know all of the fans. Seeing a Looney poster was the high point for Thompson during his trip to Xiamen City.
