Golden State Warriors lose to Milwaukee Bucks after back-to-back

A more unified Warriors team lost 129-118 against the Milwaukee Bucks, but they remained competitive throughout, even missing Steph Curry at the end of a back-to-back against one of the NBA’s best offenses.

Brandin Podziemski, who took Curry’s position in his hometown, had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. One of his three 3-pointers was a step-back over the towering Giannis Antetokounmpo. Jonathan Kuminga led the squad with 24 points, shooting 9 of 17 from the field.

Thompson cooled down after a great shooting night in Chicago, finishing with 21 points on 7-for-23 from the field. The game featured 18 lead changes, with the Warriors leading by seven in the third quarter. However, Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard led the Bucks to a fourth-quarter comeback victory.

The Warriors will resume their road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday for an earlier Martin Luther King Jr. game, before concluding the trip in Utah. Then they come home to face the Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, and Sacramento Kings.
