The Bucks made a significant comeback after the Warriors jumped out to an early six-point lead in the first. They went on a run led by Damian Lillard that put them back in the lead. With 12 points through one quarter, Dame was a major contributor to Milwaukee’s 33–24 first-quarter lead.
Thanks to steady scoring from the Golden State squad, the lead that the Bucks had built up would vanish in the second. With eleven points in the first quarter, Trayce Jackson-Davis in particular was a major spark off the bench. The Warriors led by a narrow margin at the break, 56-54.
For the whole of the third, both sides would frustrate one another, and the score would stay tight. By leading 83-81 going into the last quarter of regulation, Milwaukee was able to slightly alter the course of events.
Throughout the fourth quarter, the Bucks kept expanding their lead, but Golden State continued to fight back. But Milwaukee’s strong performance, led by Khris Middleton, provided them the momentum they needed to win 129–118 and cross the finish line.
