Things got so bad that Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla started the second half with all of his players sitting on the bench. When TNT, which was showing the game across the country, realized that they might not be going back on the court at all, they chose to watch the game somewhere else.

The broadcast skipped over the rout in Milwaukee to show the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the New York Knicks. That game was also a blowout. When TNT turned on the game, the Mavs were already 19 points ahead early in the second quarter.

NBA on TNT reporter Ernie Johnson was hilariously confused when he tried to explain why the Celtics-Bucks game wasn’t shown because there wasn’t a single close game in the league.

“Of course, this game is out of hand now. 100–62. Also, Oklahoma City is ahead 36–1 at the break, so we’re not going there. “Let’s play the Knicks and the Mavericks. It’s a 47–28 game,” Johnson said.

After TNT chooses to show the game, fans made a lot of jokes about the Celtics.

In the end, the coverage went back to the game in Milwaukee, but they missed a lot of the third quarter to watch other NBA games.
