Serbian national team player Bogdan Bogdanović is the best basketball player in Serbia in 2023 as chosen by journalists, the Basketball Federation of Serbia announced.

The Atlanta player and our national team captain received 27 votes, 17 more than second place Nikola Jokić. Aleksa Avramović came in third place with two votes, while Boriša Simanić came in fourth with one vote, Mozzartsport reported.

Selection criteria are achievements in the national team shirt. At last year’s world championship, Bogdanović, as the national team’s top scorer, led Serbia to a silver medal in Manila.

Aleksandra Crvendakić was chosen as the best Serbian basketball player last year. With 20 votes, she was the first to be selected, followed by Tina Krajišnik, Ivon Anderson, Jovana Nogić and Ivana Raca.

The team that won the special prize was the 3×3 national team of Serbia, European champions five times in a row and current world champions. The second special prize went to the European gold medal winners at the Nis tournament.
